Federico Raviola from Fontanafredda winery stopped by Cibo last week to share a taste of Piedmont, Italy with us!

And, since we LOVE a great glass of vino, we were more than happy to sample five delicious Fontanafredda wines.

This prestigious winery, located in the heart of Langhe, Piedmont, boasts a rich history and is well-known for its production of rich, powerful red wines.

With 70 hectares planted with Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto and Moscato varieties Fontanafredda employs more than 400 local growers to produce its grapes.

Stripes on Fontanafredda’s bottles today pay homage to the royal history of the land, which was gifted to a mistress of the King of Italy more than 100 years ago.
