This October, we’re turning up the beet for Pasta La Feasta!

We’re joining Calgary’s seventh annual celebration of all things pasta, and this year’s theme is Distinctly Canadian. Naturally, we decided to show a little love to one of Alberta’s homegrown favourites.

Beets, baby. Beets.

She’s colourful. She’s Canadian. She’s got a little crunch.

We’re giving beets the spotlight they deserve, tossing them with rigatoni, creamy goat cheese, fragrant basil oil, toasted pistachios and a generous finish of pecorino.

Sweet, savoury, a little nutty and ridiculously good-looking. Who knew beets could have this much personality?
